They did it when Siemian was a freshman and Persa (I think it was this combo) was a senior. Couldn’t finish watching the game as had kid responsibilities but doesn’t look like I missed all that much except a coronary as they tried to piss that game away.

Illinois is god awful again.

I liked the Lovie hire. I liked that they basically replaced everyone on the roster. But they have to show some results at some point. Kent State is one of the worst teams in Div I. They have to be able to beat at team like this. And they just get pushed around like always. The coaching is shit. These guys are pussies. So disappointing.

College is all about recruiting. Illinois has none.

Winning national championships is about recruiting. The rest is about coaching and player development. There are 10 programs that get all of the top recruits, everyone else gets the rest. You can't say that the talent on Illinois is this much worse than Kent State!
