They must have heard you, T-Bone. Illini are hitting their free throws late in the game.

I can't stand Bilas, but he was right about how much the Illini have improved shooting the ball.

Didn't think the game would be so high-scoring after the first five minutes.

Made the difference between a nail biter and a 9 point winner. Nice win tonight. They have two more tough ones coming with TN this weekend and Purdue just after New Years.

Tennessee 6.5 point favorites at home. Tips at 11am. If the Illini can shoot close to how they did against FAU I like their chances. Volunteers have list 3 relatively close games against Purdue, Kansas and UNC. Looking at their stats it appears most of their points come from the guards. Hope they can play good D on the perimeter and hit the boards. Last team they played with an elite guard was Marquette and he carved them up pretty good.

I won't be able to watch this one as I will be on the road. Listening to basketball on the radio isn't my favorite, but I'll be tuning in.

Pretty decent first half for the Illini. They play pretty good D. Should be a tight game in the 2nd half. Illini definitely bigger so they are rebounding pretty well.

TN guards starting to carve away like I thought they’d do early. Illini needs to make a stand now or it’s over. ( about 10 left)

6 minutes left and I believe they missed their window , especially on the road.

Everything disappeared in the second half. Couldn't shoot, didn't play much defense. Seems like they threw up a ton of 3s.

They have Mizzou next Friday . . . haven't won that won in a while.

Yes The Border Battle just became a large game as well as the Northwestern game after they upset Purdue.

Next up! I've got $80 in bets with my loopers who go to Mizzou....about time they start winning in this series again.

I recorded the game yesterday but never went back to watch, and subsequently deleted the recording this morning. Looks like they pretty much dominated. Mizzou on Friday will be a big game.

Dominating win last night. Really starting to click on offense with the ball movement and rebounding. Wish Domark could have dropped a few 3 balls. A lot of open looks and nothing falling for him. Also wish we had someone that could handle the ball better. They struggled at times against full court pressure.

Yeah was a total beat down by the Illini this year.

Mizzou is in a funk. Not really sure what is going on with them. They are more talented than they have played recently.

They were talking about this "no true point guard" thing last night and couldn't help but think come tournament time that's going to be a problem.

Good point.

Good point.

It will be a problem as they get deeper into the Big 10 schedule as well.

Bernstein was apoplectic that the AD called the press conference for tomorrow at 6 pm.

Inappropriately touching a woman in a Lawrence bar from all reports. Certainly not cool if true, but a rape charge was surprising so maybe there are more details to emerge. Northwestern at home Tuesday and then Purdue on the road Friday. They looked solid against a cream puff last game but will be interesting to see how everyone steps up and if Shannon Jr can get back on the court at all.

Is this another hoax? Apparently, the video looks favorable for Shannon. It seems the "rape" may have been that he lied about being a football player.
