Anybody else got really shitty audio on ESPN for the TCU game?

Kansas just isn't the same without Mangino.

This call at the end of the NW/Vandy game is terrible. Just bad.

A "high hit"? This is football, boys. It's gonna be hard, it might hurt once in awhile. If that is the "new rule", it sucks. If that is just a bad interpretation of the rules, then please dismiss that official before he fucks up again.

Texas Tech plays SMU tomorrow....so technically not a 9/04/10 game on tv schedule....

However, I have not decided if I am over the craptastic way in which my pirate coach was fired last year. My (UT grad) brother has tried to convince me this is best for Texas Tech football, but I'm still bitter. Is it wrong to view tomorrow as a James' family battle of evil vs. evil?? * sigh *

Agreed. But it was moot. If you saw the ref's spot, he had the first down anyway.

I think the big thing that came out of today's game is can anybody snap a football, especially in a shotgun formation. Florida had like 15 bad snaps, I seen some other games where bad snaps and look at the night games, Oregon State down 7 bad snap and the quarterback has to kick the ball out of the endzone. In the Vanderbilt-Northwestern, Vandy going for 2 and they have a bad snap to cost them a chance for overtime, nice win Mud. Snapping the ball will be the main play in practice this week for most teams.

Houston Homer, I wonder what we will see from Texas Tech tommorow, Leach liked to throw the ball all over the place and I wonder if Tuberville will try to include more of a running game. For Texas Tech, in my opinoin that game could go either way.

Twernt pretty but we'll take it. Good news is Persa looked really good, but our running game still sucks. Can't expect to do anything special this year without a balanced attack. D looked good at times, but pretty bad at times too... chalk it up to a first game jitters.

Officially scared of Indiana. Didn't see the whole game, but heard that Chappell and Davis Walker were beasts. I guess you can say it was just Towson, but I think if Indiana can pull together a defense, they will be good.

That is a huge if. I think the offense is going to be fine, but I am not convinced they can stop Big 10 opponents. We shall see, but no doubt the prospects of IU's season hang on the D.

After week one, I must say I saw nothing that surprised me in Big Ten play. Next week should tell us more, with Michigan/ND and Miami/OSU. I do think Northwestern is living on borrowed time, but I've thought that for two years, so YMMV.

Livin' on borrowed time? Not sure what you mean by that. I suppose you mean they are getting lucky. And I guess you may be right since we have been involved in so many close games. But I don't think it's luck. I think they generally game plan really well for their games. I like how our D coordinator dared Vandy to throw. I love how our O coordinator mixed up the backfield to a two back, something that Was new this year. I like our talent level. Things keep getting a bit better on talent each year. I don't think NU os living on borrowed time.
