If 4-6 in their last 10 is 'being hot', then they are in! :thumright:

If you told me that Iowa could be 500 in the big ten with a win in their last game of the schedule, I'd have been shocked. I thought this was a 6,7 win team in the conference. I'm buying into Fran.

They are building something good there.

This weekend is the greatest 5th place match in Big Ten history. IU should win but if they don't Bloomington might self destruct.

I don't. It's the least important game left for the year. If the lose, it doesn't matter at all. If they win, it would probably push them up in seeding and it would be awesome that in the "IU is back" year that Purdue finished higher than them in the standings.

I agree it is a meaningless game and I could care less where they rank in the Big 10 standings.

Regardless of what else happens this year has been a success for IU. They have played well and made it to the tournament and are ahead of schedule from where most thought they would be. With the recruiting class they have coming next year things continue to look up in Bloomington.

Iowa is probably two seasons away from making a real splash. They have 3 solid recruits coming in (even one who they beat UNC for) and I'll give them a growing year next year but in 2013-2014, I would expect the step up.

I wouldn't mind seeing a good 5-6 year run of solid Big Ten basketball classes. This season has been
fun to watch even if the Illini spit the bit. Lots of close games and good talent to watch. Kind of restoked
the college basketball fan in me. I haven't watched this much since 2005.
