Hard to imagine why he hasn't gotten another head coaching job.
The only reason he "bailed" on ND was due to extreme coercion from Chicago's own Michael Jordan, who finally talked him into heading for UNC.

Why wouldn't he go to SMU -- wouldn't you move on from that?
