If Cinci got hurt so much by not blowing out their prior 2 opponents will OSU get the same treatment for crapping their pants against a bad Nebraska team?

How’d Cincy get hurt?

Playing Illinois is not an automatic win any longer.

Good first step.

Now build some depth.

Looks like OSU gonna move up a spot, after all

Seems like one of those years the big 10 has no business in the playoff conversation.

Yup. OSU is not good enough to be ranked where they are. Their team is significantly worse than the last two seasons, but they have a lot of young talent that will be really good next year and the year after.

yeah the big 10 is not good overall. No team deserves to be close to the playoff

And this is where I think the committee could do a solid by offering up Cincy to the SEC champ.

Seems like there are 2 good teams and they’re in the same conference, so who gives a shit? Just put randos opposite UGA/Bama and let nature take its course.

My Hogs won their 6th game yesterday, they have come a long way in a short amount of time. Have a legit chance at 8 wins, LSU and Missouri and then a loss to Bama.

So in all seriousness RFDC, how much time is Indiana going to give Allen? Are they still happy with him?

Well you know how it goes there are some ready to run him out of town.

But I think for the most part people are willing to give him a little time. But I would say if next year goes the way this year has gone then his seat will start getting warm. Last year spoiled quite a few people. He has done a pretty good job recruiting. So there really are no excuses for 2 really bad years in a row.

Also there is the issue of his buyout. It is pretty big and I don't see them making any movements on that for a little while.

Allen needs to pray that Woodson has great year with the basketball team and then people will quickly forget about what a bad year it was football wise.

I just copied your question about Brohm.

He has a $30 million buyout but even with a $0 buyout he wouldn't be fired for one bad year.

Something doesn't seem right there. They've had a few guys transfer out in season I think. One came to Purdue which is always the smart choice. I wonder if it's like Purdue last year that had some major assistant coaching issues they had to solve.

Based on the tuition that places charges, the buyout is pocket change!

Yeah I know, I have been waiting for it. I figured you would have been giving me crap a few weeks ago

There is no doubt he wont be fired after this year and probably not after next year.

There does seem to be some things not right in the locker room. From things I read it is the offensive staff and they are not good at all. I expect there will be a house cleaning on the offensive side of things. But when your star QB under achieves and constantly deals with injuries it is hard to not have offensive issues.

The funny thing is that Brohm is getting a big extension this offseason too. The money in college football is amazing.

Yeah it is really amazing.

But for places like Indiana and Purdue it is probably a good thing. Neither school is going to find anyone better if they were to both fire their coaches today. I mean I don't think Les Miles is available anymore.

Yeah. Plus schools like ours can't keep hiring and firing every 4-5 years. We don't want to end up like Illinois football.

Did you see that article last week talking about like $532 Million in dead pay to fired coaches in college sports or something like that, boosters sure like to spend.

When a small school like Northwestern spends $200 million on a practice facility the money is silly.

Like I said, boosters like to spend their money and they want to win.

I will quote Jerry Jones, "my hand has never gotten to tired to sign a check".

From what I was reading a few weeks ago, the entire O-Line is playing with injuries. Penix obviously hasn't been right, either. Their All-American corner has apparently missed a few games, too, and seven other defensive starters have missed large chunks of time.

It's a shame, but I hope they can get things back on track next year, or maybe even with the next three games.

How is Purdue not ranked? They should at least be in the 20s
