One thing I liked about those rivalry games is you (well I did) would pick a team to support and it kind of sticks with you. I have zero ties to Michigan but always was a Michigan fan vs Ohio State. Cheered for Oklahoma to irritate my father. Things like that. Those thanksgiving games helped pass a lot of time. I saw some of iron bowl but the snow caught my attention. Be better if it was Pitt vs PSU but….

Pitt-PSU was fun last few years but down for awhile. The big after Thanksgiving one here for a long time was Pitt - WV

My memory is sitting in my grandmother’s kitchen in the 80’s watching a game. My memory tells me it was Pitt vs psu but my memory might suck as it was forever ago.

That was it--Pitt vs. Penn State. The Backyard Brawl against WVU replaced it. Good rivalry, but sad to see the Pitt-Penn State game go away.
