Houston is pretty overrated. Their only wins over teams with winning records are UCLA (5-4) and Louisiana Tech (5-4).

Tulsa might be their only test of the regular season.

That Joe Adams punt return for arkansas was seriously super human. He must have some sort of speical powers like that stupid old 'new mutants' character who's power was having things deflect off her...

If LSU can get by Arkansas, and more and more looking like Georigia in the SEC title game, they will play the winner of Oklahoma/Oklahoma State for the title, LSU loss, and put Alabama there to play for the title.

On Houston getting a BCS Bowl, they could have a shot, because the Big 12, SEC, are assured 2, and I would say the Pac 12 with Oregon and Stanford, now they usually like 2 Big 10 teams there, but if Wisco wins it, I don't see another team, but I would throw out the ACC.

Their title game could be a 1 loss Virginia Tech vs a 1 loss Clemson, the winner goes and possibly the loser.

arkansas and the championship will be interesting for LSU...definitely big games. they should be able to handle arkansas but the championship game has me nervous a bit.

What could be something, watching ESPN, in their BCS projections, is having Oregon jump Oklahoma, so the top 5 would be
1 LSU
2 Oklahoma State
3 Alabama
4 Oregon
5 Oklahoma

I just bring that up, because if Oklahoma beat Ok State, could that win jump 3 teams, they would pass OK State and I would say Oregon, but would they pass Alabama.

I will say this, Oregon has a tough game against USC this weekend, and since I don't think USC can make their conference title game, this could be the last game Oregon has a chance to lose, now if USC can make the title game, Oregon will see USC in a couple of weeks.

Well I guess were losing Bob Davie on ESPN, as he is going to be head coach at New Mexico.

Ya know what? I don't think he's a terrible coach, but this is a horrendous job... He must have established recruiting ties in that region or UNM is offering a sweet deal... Either way, the lobos wont be ranked in the bottom 5 for the forseeable future...

Or you assume Locksley was bringing in good athletes and they just needed a capable coach. 1-9 right now, expectations are low....Get a few even 6-6 seasons and you can move back into the limelight. He was probabl;y out long enough that it was small school or be a coordinator somewhere.

I'm not sure how much recruiting prowess a guy has when he hasn't coached in a decade.

Rocky Long did a pretty decent job there. His career record after 11 seasons there was 65–69.

Bob Davie is going to have his work cut out for him. That program is in pretty bad shape because of Locksley.

Agreed. Let Davie recruit a little bit, and we'll see how the talent develops. Basically check back in 3 years...

Yes. Go Cyclones. If Iowa State had a legitimate D-1 QB and kicker, they would have won this game already.

Now we have a mess for the national title, welcome back Oklahoma, Hello Oregon, but right now your national title game could be LSU vs Alabama, still a lot to go.

Oklahoma has Baylor then OK st after. LSU has Arkansas and then GA in the SEC champ. Ore has to beat Ore Ste, USC and then USC again in the P12 champ. I'm thinking LSU-Oklahoma.

Add this, what if LSU loses to Arkansas, Alabama makes the SEC title game and loses to Georgia.

For Oklahoma State, they may not be out of this yet, they probably fall to 5th, just ahead of Arkansas, if they can beat Oklahoma, can they get to number 2, or do they need an Oregon loss and an Alabama loss.

Right now, the big thing is will people vote for a rematch in the title game, LSU vs Bama or LSU vs Oregon.

A lot of things could happen, should be an intresting 3 weeks, because so far 2 ranked teams have lost, Oklahoma State tonight and Southern Miss last night.

Also to add, besides the national title crazyness, who is your heisman winner.

I was ready to give it to Weeden with 2 more wins, didn't happen, Luck I don't think has impressed much, is it Richardson, and he's basically done unless LSU loses, because Bama just plays Georgia Southern and at Auburn, should be 2 blowouts.

USC can't be in Pac 12 title game because of their probation. Will be either Arizona State or UCLA

Does the title game count as postseason or only the bowl games?

And OK State chokes as usual.

Forgot about that. Assuming LSU wins out, I think Alabama has a problem because they only have one game left vs. legit opponents (Ga Southern can't help in the BCS standings) Oklahoma and Oregon still have three left , and Oklahoma in particular has Baylor, Iowa State and Okie State, two of which are ranked. Aside from LSU, I think Okla controls their destiny the most. Then they'll go on and lose a title game yet again and it won't matter. I would rather see one of these spread teams like Ok St try to score on LSU.

How in the hell does the referee miss that call in Oregon-USC?

It's right in front of him!

Many of the early bowl projections have NIU vs. Illinois in the pizza bowl. Some say NIU vs. Purdue, which would be even better because NIU owns Purdue.
