I've said it before, EIU would at least finish in the middle of the Big Ten.

Northern Illinois won, but does that not count because they had to come from behind?

Seems this team is regressing. Each game we keep getting more undisciplined with turnovers and penalties, which has been very uncharacteristic of this program. The defense starts off slow in the first half and we have to dig ourselves out. I'll take the defense going through growing pains with only 4 returning starters but we have got to clean up our play and stop putting ourselves further into a hole.

The most annoying thing was watching us play off their WR's so much and leaving EIU WR Lora on single coverage the whole night. Kid was their go-to guy and kept catching everything. I believe he had well over 200 yds and 3 TDs receiving. EIU QB may very well be the best we see all season, except for maybe Keith Wenning from Ball State.

We have got a lot to work on before playing Purdue. Sure, Purdue may not be good but we have not been playing that well these last two weeks.

This may be a tale of two halves. We start out really slow in the 1st qtr, pick it up in the 2nd, and then we win it in the 2nd half (barely).

Purdue seems to be good at limiting points in the first qtr then tanking in the 2nd half.

Hopefully we get out to a quick start for once.

NIU offense is a beautiful thing to watch. Now if we could drop the penalties and improve on defense. 5-yd penalty killed our first drive and settled for for a FG.

Should have gone for it on that 4th and short. Purdue is having a tough time stopping us. Jordan Lynch 12-for-13 passing so far.

Why did we go conservative after gaining our 2nd INT with over 2 mins left and 2 timeouts? It ended up allowing Purdue a long FG before half to make it 27-10. Make Purdue stop us, don't purposely slow down our offense.
