And the ball?

It's not overstated.
It overstated. Dribbling isn't where the advantage is. It's when a team throws out a 6'8 guy who can dunk. There aren't many of those on 8th grade teams.

Dribbling? What about putting the regulation ball into the hoop? A mere technicality?

I'm willing to compromise. A freshman team would break ankles and shoot a higher percentage. Whatever ball you want to use.

I thought the skill level was far better than I remember. I don't doubt a great boys high school team could beat them, but you're talking about D-1 athletes. A team of Average Joe's would get their ass handed to them.

Any ball. If you are interested, there are videos online of athletic men getting worked by professional female players. The YMCA game has humbled MANY great athletes.

Damn, that game drew more people than every regular season college football game with the exception of Ohio State/Michigan

It would depend a lot on the team. There is one active women's college player who has a dunk and she hasn't done it since 2022. Having even one guy on the team who could dunk would likely create an insurmountable rebounding and defensive advantage. They aren't taking a shot in the lane. Of course Clark could hit 9/14 from 3.

Or 2/14 because the ball's too heavy

They can box out. You're giving too much weight to height and athleticism. Skill and desire matter as well.

There's an easy fix to shut me up. Isn't it way past time to use an actual basketball?

The Iowa-LSU game didn't involve a player taller than 6'3 and even those heights are questionable.

Do you think they've only played with the slightly smaller ball? Do you think an average athlete would become a better basketball player with a smaller ball?

In the 5 minutes I watched, they were much quicker and much better at finishing than I remember seeing in a women’s game. Maybe I’m just getting older & slower so everything looks faster these days.

Clark had some of the most obvious “I’m shooting no matter what” possessions I’ve seen outside of Jordan Poole.

Physics says they'd become better shooters. Go argue it with physics

Nas Jr Jr had a smaller basketball and I missed virtually every shot with it. I was significantly better with a standard indoor/outdoor ball. Anecdote For The Win!

Larry Holmes playing the race card that LSU is being deemed the villain.

Unless he's talking about Kim Mulkey's big tits triggering his anxiety.

I gave it a few possessions. Two turnovers and an air ball later, I’m out.

5 minutes in the 2nd quarter. It was rough. Couple airballs, few bricks, few turnovers.. Maybe 2 baskets. I was out.

Women’s basketball is a tough watch, I gotta tell you. I’m trying to get on board, but the volume of turnovers and missed layups in the couple of games Ive matched recently make it very hard to take it very seriously.

The fix is in for Princess Caitlin. Brutal call.

First time watching an entire Caitlin Clark games. Seen highlights of her, obviously.

Not her best game. But she's a good passer.

I'm very impressed by her quick release. That's what separates the most from the other women. And she doesn't launch from the hips like the other girls. She's higher up at set up. That's what makes her more accurate and gives her that quicker release. She's got a good handle for the women's game too.

I know this might sound bad but it's just true. It helps that she has very small breasts. Easier for her to move. Makes her quicker. Gives her an advantage.

Anyway, she's good. Not that anybody needed me to say it.
