Do we do it online with a timer? And then the conference call is just for witty banter and expletives?

Yeah. That may happen to me too. 11pm east coast time is rough but doable. I'll let the computer pick my last few picks I'm sure.

I have the Dr. Ken Big Board ready.

In case you were wondering, I put Adam Mershman of Ball State as the 19th best TE available.

But look on the bright side, this is a way for you to get back to normalcy after the tragic events of Irene.

Are the players ranked? If not I am going to have one hell of an interesting draft as I could name about 5 players between the Big 10 and the MAC right now and 3 of em are Huskies!!

If you go to the website, you can see how CBS has them ranked. I wouldn't trust it though. Terrelle Pryor is on there and I think Rob Henry is 12th or something.

CBS ranks them, and there's even an option to adjust to league rules (which I altered slightly from default). Warning: I saw Rob Henry on there so make sure to check injuries.

I plan on calling-in. I'll probaby fire things up around 9:45-9:50pm if the conference call is active that early.

How can anything be accomplished with 8 people all on the phone? Its going to sound more cluttered than a Mully and Hanley tranny won't it?

It's ready now. I had little to do today. Only one password reset.

I plan on calling and should be on around that time as well.

Like I said above, we did the conference call thing for a CSFMB MLB draft and it worked well.

I'll call in... you'll know it's me because Tom Jones' "What's New Pussycat" will be playing gently in the background.

In order to make this fun we need to commit to do some post game smack talk/witty banter. I may have to buy a Toledo Rockets jersey for my Adonis Thomas pick. And I'll need to create a new Twitter hashtag.... #DysertStrong.

Are Stats compiled against MAC teams worth half the points?

Much like Jerry Richardson, I like my guys to be clean-cut.

That can be the only reason that everybody on my team looks like this -

Is this true? I looked at the rules and didn't see it.

I don't see it under the rules either, but it is there when I go into the edit scoring screen. 99% sure it is true, I suppose we will find out tonight.

IB, you said we were to add 2 Free Agents? I am not sure I understand the free agent thing yet. I need a kicker for my team still, can I add one now or do I have to do the waiver deal that says it starts on Friday?

Everything is through waivers now, so before anyone can be added you'll have to wait for the priority claims to go through. If I'm understanding correctly you should get access to the player before the Saturday games.

Thanks.

Curious, in most drafts you draft as many rounds as you have positions available on each team? How come we just didn't draft 2 more rounds last night?

No idea. I assumed that would be the case as well. The default rosters for the league was 14, and I assumed that when I added two bench spots the draft would also adjust. I was wrong.

One final note that I mentioned to the guys last night on the call: players lock individually before games. You do not have to have your entire team set before the first game kicks off. I mostly did this because the MAC plays Tuesday and Wednesday night games, and I didn't want a situation where one player locks in a team you don't want set. Five minutes before that player's game, he will be locked as playing or on the bench. The rest of your team can be switched right up until kickoff.

That, and they didn't even have a dunk tank.

With this group they could have used a drunk tank

The waiver process will complete tonight and you'll have access to anyone you get tomorrow. All players unclaimed are then free agents and can be picked up immediately without restriction until the games start when everyone is on waivers again and the process starts again.

Any player dropped has to go through the waiver/claim process before they are a free agent.

IB, can you set it so waivers don't run on Sunday night so we don't have to set our add/drops until Monday?

Already set that way. Waivers run Monday through Thursday night.

Damn right. And that's not just some WSJ-type rag, that's the frickin' Kalamazoo Gazette, bitches!
