Temple fired coach Rod Carey on Monday after three seasons with the school, ending a tenure that started with a bowl game and finished with a combined two conferences wins in the last two seasons. Nice move :lol:

can't be a better description of the guy. Sad thing is, those in the know at NIU knew that when he was hired after DD left. Clearly does not know how to coach and I have no idea why Temple gave him a job in the first place. You had the guy's track record right in front of you!

Dave Doeren won with Jerry Kill's players. I also think that the Illini would love to have had Carey's success at NIU.

However, he's not real tv-friendly and his teams have sometimes looked unprepared. I was surprised to learn that he is basically my age. I thought he was over 60.
