"Some people think they’re God … We build him up to be the czar of football. Go dig into his past, or anyone who’s ever coached with him, you can find out anything you wanna find out."

Jimbo Fisher didn't hold back after Nick Saban's comments about A&M's recruiting practices.

I despise Jimbo Fisher, way overrated who shows no value added on the talent he acquires.

Saban, on the other hand, would thrive in any college situation.

Saban just helped A&M's recruiting while openly begging his boosters to get off their asses and payoff athletes in the open.

What boosters? Car dealerships?

Nicky knows he's in trouble.

They don't have oil money, but they have old money. They'll do what's necessary, or Saban will retire/leave.

When he fully understands that he's sitting at the table with by far the shortest stack he'll be gone faster than Roy Williams ran out of Carolina.

Tuscaloosa $$$ will run out before oilfield $$$ will run out.

In theory.

I do think that Alabama cheated "less" than others because they basically put all of their eligible starters into the NFL and that was a bigger deal than a $100k payout to play at Auburn. He's also right that A&M did violate the rules in regards to using it to recruit players but it's a rule that is likely unenforceable anyways.

Fisher seemed to respond to a set of comments Saban never made.

He should post here.

His job was to defend his program, players, their families, and drop a few crumbs about Saban cheating in the past. He accomplished all of that. It'll probably help recruiting for him, too.

Fisher acts like there isn't a Saban tree of head coaches throughout college football who were very high paid assistants prior (him included).

Texas schools and most notably UT and TAM have been notorious for giving envelopes after the game well before NIL. The problem with those two schools has never been getting talent in. Both of those teams are soft. Jimbo Fisher won his title playing a pre Dabo Swinney ACC. He joined the SEC and has consistently underwhelmed with his only really good season occurring during COVID
