First big news of the week, Cooper Flagg had to leave game after turning ankle. Good luck filling out your brackets! |

I'm very happy Xavier made it. I hope they beat up on Texas and then it's a no lose situation on Friday v. Illini. Drake is going to beat Missouri straight up. Take the money line on that one to the bank. Creighton is going to destroy Louisville. |

If I cared enough, Wednesday would be a great late night with X v. Texas at 8 and then Loyola playing in the NIT at 11 pm. but I don't care enough. I may be in bed by halftime of the first game |

i also have creighton and drake winning their first round matchups, and have creighton going a little farther. as i filled out my bracket i already knew i'm looking at a high seed going to the S16 that will ultimately blow it and fuck my shit up. there will be some upsets that probably aren't really upsets. |

is anyone else offended by the fact we have 11 and 12 loss teams as 4 seeds (arizona and purdue)? |

DePaul just took Creighton to double OT. No way Creighton beats Louisville. Y'all dumb if you pick them. |

Thought for sure that Wisconsin and Iowa State would have had flipped locations, so happy Cyclones got Milwaukee, and now my Friday plans are set. Interesting how seeding/locations doesn't always work out. Part of it is there aren't many top 4 seeds from out west. Wisconsin ties for 4th in big 10, make a run to title game, and gets the 3 seed, but has to go to Denver (1000 miles from campus) Illinois ties for 7th in Big 10, gets a 6 seed, and will play in Milwaukee (225 miles from campus) |

RFDC wrote: I think we may see a year with 3 SEC teams in the final four I still remember the year there were 3 Big East teams in the F4 with expected powers Georgetown (Ewing) and St. Johns (Mullin) but then a team out of nowhere lead by a plucky coach and even pluckier point guard crashed the party. Talking about Providence coached by Rick Pitino and led by point god Billy Donovan. EDIT: I'm mixing things up. 1985 was the year 3 Big East teams made it. 1987 was the year Providence made it. |

Michigan kind of either gave the blueprint to stopping Tonje or he was just exhausted. Either way I tend to agree. |

Like Texas A & M, they had tough schedules, and they both played difficult out of conference teams. But you wonder if the SEC is like the Big Ten a few years ago, when they had something like eight of the top ten teams and then fizzled in the NCAAs. The SEC looked pretty legit whenever I saw them play, though. Florida and Alabama are my SEC teams (if that bad-mustache-looking-dude is healthy for Alabama). Someone please beat Auburn. Would be nice to see the Big Ten slap around the SEC like they did in football last year. |

Perhaps the Big Ten-SEC tournament match-ups will be more even, unlike the bowl season. By the way, I hope the SEC just lied back and enjoyed that. Might as well, you know? Some of my guys go to Kansas and say that the team is mentally beaten. That's a great first round game. |

So Indiana hired Darian DeVries who was HC at West Virginia and Drake before that. Do not know much about him. But thankfully he is a guy that has actual college experience. He turned Drake into a consistent winner in his years there. He has to be better than Woodson! |

These are one-game series. Trying to draw conclusions based on past games won't be accurate because anything can happen in one game. |

Don't sleep on Florida. Houston will look dominating on defense early but will sputter out after a couple rounds because they can't score with the big dogs. As usual. |
