The reason why the Kenny McReynolds-looking Dave Leitao left DePaul was because the University of Virginia made the kind of offer the folks on Belden Ave. simply couldn't match. He simply couldn't bankroll that success in Charlottesville, and in a conference just as tough as the ACC. Right now, the DePaul program is in such bad shape and they're in so far over their heads in the Big East, I'm not sure ANY MARQUEE HEAD COACH can get the Blue Demons back on track in one season. It's going to take a very long time to get DePaul going where they used to be, and I'm not so sure DePaul has as much patience in Jerry Wainwright as they claim.
