http://www.kcci.com/sports/23262355/detail.htmlAccording to Action 3 News in Omaha, Greg McDermott has accepted the head coaching job at Creighton. The deal is reportedly worth $10 million over 9 years.
McDermott would replace Dana Altman, who took the head coaching position at Oregon.
McDermott finished his fourth season at Iowa State, compiling a record of 59-68.
His departure would leave the Iowa State program in a tough situation, considering the timing and personel issues. The Cyclones have seen numerous players leave the program for other schools or the NBA under McDermott. McDermott had just completed his coaching staff by hiring Iowa Energy head coach Nick Nurse and former Cyclone great Jeff Grayer.
