I know that football is king in South Bend, but I'm surprised this hasn't popped up here at CSFMB before this.

ND may be considering firing Mike Brey for "conduct" reasons. Read: His wife walked in on him having an affair in his office witha local news anchor. The news anchor also happens to be Chris Zorich's girlfriend. This is the same Mike Brey who was elected head of the rules committee for the NCAA. The article I linked is a couple weeks old, but sums up the whole thing nicely:

The people I talked to that are affiliated with ND say that the university is still considering firing him. Maybe it's a cover for being upset that he considered the Oregon job, who knows.

Oh yeah, one more detail - the news anchor was recently arrested after a drunken fight with Zorich outside of his house.

That wording could mean something a lot different.

Im no english major but doesnt that read that HIS refers to news anchor?

Sorry - outside of Zorich's house.

Yes, Chris Zorich still hangs around ND in some sort of "official" role.

Well, to be fair, I don't think bonking the anchorwoman is a violation of NCAA rules.

I think some bad tournament runs would have got him fired, he had Harangody.

Notre Dame does go by it's own rules, and they could look at infidelity as a fireable offense.

He should be fired for sporting that faux turtleneck with sport coat look that was tired 10 years ago.

Anyway, further proof that it is a man's world when a man who looks like that can get a woman who looks like that.
