While the dude will probably join the evil empire in friggin Columbus, it says alot that the kid (a top D tackle prospect) has narrowed his choices to NU and dOSU. Very rarely are we competing head to head with that school, but this kid is as smart as he is athletic. It wold be a coup to land this guy. And it would say a ton about Fitz's recruiting if he could land this guy (a guy they say maybe the best prospect out of Centerville, the school that brought you AJ Hawk)

He committed to dOSU this weekend with this quote "I know Ohio State can better prepare me for the NFL. I really liked Northwestern and their academic program a lot, but I can still enter the medical field from Ohio State, and become prepared to play NFL football."

FYI, NU (3 players) vs OSU (1 player) first 5 rounds of NFL draft:
ROUND 4
Northwestern DE Corey Wootton, Chicago Bears, No. 109 overall
Ohio State DE/LB Thaddeus Gibson, Pittsburgh Steelers, No. 116 overall
Northwestern QB Mike Kafka, Philadelphia Eagles, No. 122 overall
ROUND 5
Northwestern CB Sherrick McManis, Houston Texans, No. 144 overall

I'm not saying... I'm just saying

Good point Mud, but the reason that not a lot of Buckeye players drafted, is that there all back to challenge for a national title.

You are right... I'm not delusional enough to think the kid isn't making the right choice for his future if it does involve the NFL. I just like spewing slanted propaganda to the benefit of my team.
