I think it looks pretty cool on the outside. On the field it looks like both teams will share the same sidelines. Not a ton of room... hope no one gets hurt.

So, this isn't a thread where you're giving tickets away then?

Douchebag nomination!

Also, a Shoutout nomination for the Rickets' for using a cherry picker instead of a scissor-lift.

That weather makes me wish Mikel Leshoure was on our team.

Would you rather....

Sit in a rundown old baseball stadium that shoehorned a baseball field in to watch a pair of 6-4 teams OR

Sit in one of the greatest football stadiums in the country watching an 8-2 and 9-1 team do battle?

I'll hang up and wait for my answer..... 8) :D

It's good to see that you aren't talking about Iowa in this thread any more.

As a Northwestern season ticket holder, I'll be in the left-field bleachers.

I'm interested to see how much orange will be around me...perhaps even DA COATCH!!

Bart Shore, the morning traffic reporter on WBBM Newsradio 780, sent a photo of the field to 670 The SCORE's David Schuster a few days ago from high above. Needless to say, there's very little room in the North end beyond the goal post from what I saw on Facebook...

The Field is running EAST-WEST.

Didn't it run the other way for Bears games?

Yes...and there was no room past the North endzone.

I know it's North to South at Soldier Field, considering the fact I used to work Bears' games at S3 for 4 seasons. Based on the photo provided, it does look as if the football field is East to West at Wrigley Field. It also appears as if the photo was shot on an angle...

Huge news that ESPN's Gameday has chosen this game over TSISB v. Army at Yankee stadium.

Also, opening line on this game is Illini -5. I'm guessing that would be NU-2 if Persa was playing. Cats Ranked 25th in ESPN/USA Today and 26th in AP.

The events around Wrigley are going to be great. There is an off chance I might have an extra ticket if you guys are interested. Not sure right now, but hopefully will have a better idea by Wednesday.

Have you guys ever done the Wrigley tour? How the blank are they going to fit all the players into those clubhouses?

I guess part of the problem is taken care of as the Wildcats will be dressing up at NU and taking the L down.

Why did they put the field this way? I thought the other way, like the Bears did, gave at least a little room beyond the endline.

I knew it would be tight but this is insane.

I just took a look at some pics of when the Bears were there. I think it's just as bad the other way.

Just looks weird since the goal posts are in the back now as opposed to then.

I wonder if the field won't fit the other way anymore with the addition of the seats behind home plate and the new one's near the first base dugout also.

It doesn't really look like it fits this way either though. Reminds me of the Packer games at the old County Stadium in Milwaukee. One of the endzones was actually smaller than the other because the wall was in the way.
