Normally wouldn't post such trivial recruiting news, but people in the know are suggesting Melvin Gordon attended the Iowa/OSU game, and witnessed a fight in the Iowa locker room after the loss. Because of that, he will be switching his commitment to Wisconsin.

Good news for the Badgers as he is probably the best HS RB in the state.

Gordon a few months ago: "It's final. When I'm committed, I'm committed," said Gordon. "I know Wisconsin is still going to come at me hard because they're the home state school and they like to keep their players in-state, but when I give my word, I'm going to stick by it. I'm committed and I'm staying with Iowa. When my freshman year starts, I'll be in Iowa City."

Guess that didn't hold.

In the end, it's no big deal. He might be something good, but we may never know with the backs at UW. he'd be sitting at Iowa too with Coker and Robinson ahead of him.

I find it hard to believe just "seeing a fight" would change his mind. It's football. It happens.

As for playing, I bet he redshirts. Too many backs at UW right now.

Exactly. Kids are fickle. That's why you can't put much into verbals.

Glad to see this, that way they will have an extra RB to be able to reach 90 pts next year vs. IU.

I live right down the road from the school, I hadn't heard that he had done this.
He'll be the 4th string guy at Wisconsin assuming everyone stays for next year.
