I think a move to the Big East at this point is lateral from the Mountain West anyway...just means an automatic BCS bid.

I'm serious. The Big East is just a bunch of mediocre, just like the Mountain West. I'm just talking football. Basketball is a whole different story. Big Least football hasn't been relavent since The U jumped to the ACC.

Just an automatic BCS bid?

I'm sure there's more TV money, but I think a lot of this is driven off of their chance at an Auto Bid more than anything.

Right, I guess your wording is what I have an issue with.

It sounds like youre saying An automatic BCS bid is No big deal

Upon further review, your assessment is correct. We will call this a wording fail on me.

My actual point was that the competition on the football side is no better in the Big East than the Mountain West.

When I think "east", I think Ft. Worth, Texas.

Well, it is called the "big" east. All the way to Texas from the east coast is big.

To be fair, it is in East Texas.

If Dallas can play in the NFC East, TCU can play on the Big East. The MWC is toast, good luck with that Boise.

Boise should go with TCU. They would immediately double the strength of that entire crappy conference.

TCU must have realized that if they don't join a BCS conference, they will never play for the national title. The intresting thing is that there would be talk of the MWC getting an automatic bid to the BCS in coming years, maybe that has fallen through.

On Depaul, I don't know if it's good that their in the Big East, I hear differing views, but they could leave if they wanted too, I imagine the Big East in basketball just wants 16, but I know football brings in the money.

Or they could just hope that Auburn or Oregon loses on Saturday.

What you are hearing, if Auburn or Oregon loses, people who vote are really going to look at things and TCU could get left out, because some people had TCU with Boise State and since Boise lost, TCU doesn't look so good right now.

My hope is that if it is Wisco and TCU in the Rose, Wisco wins and wins big, put up another 70.
