I give the guy credit, he is fighting a huge uphill battle, but listening to this show, you would think they won the last 2 games.

After letting WIsc score 70, Coach Fitz Points out some WR had 273 Return yards, a NU record! Kinda sure thats because Wisc scored like 8 times? or more?

They showed like 5 good runs from the game. Talked about some good Freshman. etc etc etc

fitz has the promotion angle down. say what you want about the guy, GO CATS!, but he bleeds wildcat purple and has the kind of mentality that would make a parent feel good about sending their kids to evanston. this year went off the tracks when persa had his achilles go out, granted MSU wasn't really interested in playing til the end, otherwise i think fitz is good in the role he is in. northwestern will, fluke notwithstanding, pretty much be what they are now from now until the end of time... and if the school is OK with that, i think they've got a potential lifer in fitz.

What should Fitzgerald concentrate on? Anyone who watched the game knows Wisconsin took it to them. The game is over, only beer swilling pro fans and fightin'Irish fans in bars on Archer Ave. relive previous games over and over. There were highlights for NU in this game and those need to be shown. Despite the outcome Watkins took steps to show he can handle this team, Venric Mark is fast and will returning for three more years. Looking forward to a bowl appearance a loss will probably cause you to hurl some more misplaced invective Fitz's way, a win you'll either be silent or get on the ride ala 'Sox and 'Hawks fans of recent years.

Yeah, it's not like we heard about the Outback Bowl for seven damn months after the fact.
