I'm not one to really wish ill on someone, but when he had his throat issue a few years ago, I actually hoped his voice never came back.

I was disappointed.

Dick Vitale has been as much as a fixture at ESPN as Chris Berman & Bob Ley since the all-sports network started in 1979. While some don't care for his over-the-top behavior, you know it's a big college basketball game when ESPN assigns Dick to cover it. I don't mind his enthusiasm and passion for the game he loves and has analyzed to a point where he's in the Basketball Hall of Fame.
