It called their program the "biggest curse in college sports" for not making the tournament in 72 years when 306 other schools had.

But, it also said the Cubs hadn't made a World Series appearance in 102 years so, you can see, the Wall Street Journal rarely gets its facts straight. Shoddy.

the Cubs not making the playoffs has not been a curse neither for the team nor for Sox fans

If the Cubs won a world series in the 70s they would not be half as popular as they are today
