Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Charlie Weis is being targeted by the University of Florida Gators to become the offensive coordinator under new coach Will Muschamp, two sources confirmed to ESPN.

Weis is expected to take the job, but no firm agreement is in place.

Why would you leave an NFL team to go to a college team as an OC?

That'd seal the deal for me. He's gonna be in a cow-town anyway. Why not be in warm weather.

Isn't this kind of classless for him to make a lateral or lesser move while his current team is still in the playoffs or did he have to decide now so the construction crew has enough time to formulate a plan to extricate him from his office.

On this, I will believe it when I see it, it could be ESPN just wanting to get a report out there, I think it helps Florida if he comes there, but would you leave the pro's and a team that making the playoffs is good and go to a school that if you don't make the national title game, your answering questions about it untill next season.

If I'm not mistaken, Haley served as both Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator last year, so it makes me wonder how involved Charlie is with the offense this year...perhaps that has something to do with it?
