I'd imagine he'll get another job pretty quickly.

I'd expect that Connecticut and Pittsburgh will be on the phone quickly.

it's funny that this news breaks on a day when the unwanted QB ryan mallett leads #8 arkansas up against the pride of the big ten, THE ohio state university. talk about coming full circle, eh?

It's going to be rough for whoever takes the Michigan job. They are lacking some serious talent on defense and Rod spent 3 years recruiting spread players for the offense. Hopefully they find a 'michigan man' or whatever bullshit the fans needs to hear and give the guy some time.

Think they are trying to make a run at Harbaugh?

Bo Schembechler authored the "Michigan man" phrase and he, of course, was from Ohio.

There is lots of speculation that Harbaugh isn't going to happen and that Brady Hoke, who was an assistant at Michigan, will be the guy.

Brady Hoke's resume:
3 winning seasons out of 8
47-50 record
1 conference championship(The 12-1 Ball State Cardinals from a few years ago)

It would be a good hire I think but it will be incredibly underwhelming for the Michigan fans.

Didn't Michigan already want him once, and he stayed put?

I don't see how Hoke is a good replacement - yes, he's a Michigan man, but really? That's the best the vaunted Wolverines can do? Bad.

Leave Hoke alone. He must continue to rebuild the program at SDSU to one of eternal greatness.

Why is it laughable that Michigan is an equal or better destination than LSU?

They were really bad under Rich Rod but that won't continue forever but I can't think of any reason why LSU is markedly better than Michigan assuming your timeframe extends earlier than 2000.

you've assumed correctly. right now, michigan would be a downgrade.

Disagree as well.

It's an easier conference. You've got either Robinson or Forcier as your QB next year. Just need to get the defense fixed up a bit and they are a 8-10 win team again. At worst, it's a push.

I think we will also discover that the conference division alignment made it significantly easier for them to get back to where they used to be. The other teams are good but the only historically great team they have to go against is Nebraska who is likely to get the "Penn State effect" of joining the conference and not looking quite as elite.

In that case they should get someone better than Hoke.

If RR goes to Pitt though that would be awesome. The Backyard Brawl would be epic.

I won't believe RR is fired until I see them dragging the corpse around the countryside, like they used to do with kings to convince the peasantry of the regime change.

I think it's either Harbaugh or RR in 2011 for UM. Just my opinion.

hey man, dominos doesn't fuck around. they'll straightup kidnap you under the guise of a "focus group" and take you out to the middle of the nowhere. once you acknowledge that their tomatoes are real, they'll give you the joe pesci in goodfellas treatment.

THE NOID LIVES!!!!
