I expect him to declare simply because his playing time is going to go to nil. He was terribly mis-used in the Rose Bowl and it's apparent that Ball and White have passed him due to injuries and while his best decision would be to have a healthy year at UW, I think they have moved past him.

I agree, his life expectancy in the NFL will not be long if there is one. Also, he was a red-shirt junior and I think he is already 23. I thought he got hosed in the Rose Bowl to, it was pretty clear early on that White was not going to be able to get it done and I didn't understand Bielema not giving him those carries earlier. Of course, I didn't agree with several of Bielema's decision in this game, so this should come as no surprise.

Yes, he would likely be best served taking his chances with the NFL and
having a good combine. Not only do the Badgers have the two smaller
backs but they have a decent recruit coming in that decommitted from
Iowa a little while back so their stable will be full and he'll likely only
get looks in short yardage and goal line situations.

I actually like the options Iowa got better. 8)

Yeah, seems to me that Wisconsin now has 3 very similar runners
under their roof. If Clay moves on, they'll miss that bigger bruising
runner.

The Journal Sentinel is reporting he is gone, they will have more on it later.

Yea, sounds like he met with 2Beez today and let him know he's declaring.

Solid late round pick. Could be a surprise, IMO.

Again, should not be a surprise - with his injuries, Chryst had him as an after thought. He's probably a FA pickup but what the hell was he going to do in Madison next year with White and Ball getting all the carries.
