UIC lost 9 in a row after their upset of the Illini. UIC is currently an impressive 7-20 out of conference and whopping 2-13 in the Horizon league. Loyola is stomping the competition at 14-12 and a 5-10 conference record.

I like to go to Loyola games but being a fan of them is a lesson in futility. Every year it is the same thing: good start, bad start in the conference with a push at the end resulting in a .500 record including a few games under .500 in conference. They never get a whiff of decent talent from this city to excite fans and their record is predictably boring.

I will, however, be at the Gentile Center for the Jesuit Cup tilt between St. Ignatius and Loyola on Friday night.
