Dave Doeren (former Wisconsin D-coordinator) and Matt Canada (former Indiana O-coodinator).

Dave Doeren has already managed to mess up this program after five games.

And who hires a DII D-coordinator as a D-coordinator at a 1-A program?

I think the Gophers would give you Kill back, if he lives long enough.

This years NIU team is just terrible. I cant remember the last time I saw an NIU team look this bad.

Jerry Kill's first year was pretty bad too (at least I think it was his first year; it could have been Novak's last year, though)

You're thinking Novak's last year in 2007. But that team had an excuse. It was decimated by injuries. At the end of the season we had something like 20 players out with season-ending injuries. We were playing our third-string walk-on QB. Had to convert a safety to RB so we had a RB to finish out the year. Lost multiple defensive linemen and linebackers. It was bad.

This coaching staff inherited the best offense in NIU history and has to take a big part of the blame. The defense and special teams have not gotten better at all and the gameplaning has been terrible. We gave up 48 points to a team that was only averaging 14 pt / game.

We have now lost two games after scoring 40+ points. Anyone know what the record for most losses is when scoring > 40 points?

I would gladly take him back. He has nothing to work with at Minnesota. They are an awful program that needs a lot of work. They were losing to 1-AA teams before he got there.

Our defense and special teams were pretty good every season he was here. Although, it took until last season for his offensive system to flourish.
