Some interesting matchups this week. Will be interesting to find out more about
the so called "class" of the Big10. MSU at Nebraska is interesting, Wisky goes to
Columbus, Illinois @ Happy Valley. Michigan is getting a lot of points at home
against Purdue who played decent last weekend.

I would pencil MSU in for a big letdown this weekend.

Would it truly be a let down? They are travelling to Lincoln and Nebraska is typically awesome at home.

I think MSU thinks they are the best team in the conference after last weekend.

You are right though. Winning at Nebraska is only easy if you are Indiana.

What MSU thinks and what MSU is are two different things....Didn't the same thing come up last year and they got drilled @ Iowa?

I'm not sure why you are saying that. MSU is playing with swagger, but I don't hear anyone popping off suggesting they are going to be national champions. In fact, they are flying kinda below the radar.

By the way, I'm not saying Kirk Cousins is a great QB (I actually think he is quite average), but he is a pretty amazing human being. I got to see him at the BT Kickoff Luncheon. The speech is worth listening to:

They have a loss though. They would need a lot of two loss teams for them to think about a national title.

It's because he's got Hawkeye blood in him. (His grandad played at Iowa)

Back to the original point of the discussion, they might be playing with a swagger but I still think the Legends division is up for grabs between the same 4 teams I thought at the start of the conference play.

Vince, once again this year have only been able to listen to the Hawks but I would think very hard about taking the 16. Iowa's D sounds very spotty.

I like Penn State as a 5.5 point home dog.
Illinois is who I thought they were.

I am willing if Mud is. He deserves to win one of these this year.

Minnesota is pretty bad, but Iowa hasn't won a road game in a while so I am in agreement.

Penn State has quietly righted the ship. Who knew that if you pick a starting quarterback and let him play the whole game that the offense might have a bit more cohesion?

Their D is very good and that has kept them afloat while they waited for the offense to come along. Silas Reed is one of the top back in the Big Ten.

I'd take the over. Iowa's offense is better than usual, but the defense can't consistently stop even Indiana. I doubt if the Yellow Rodents have an answer for McNutt.

Whatever his name is, he's got a nice balance of speed and power.

I'd pound Iowa and lay the 16. Minnesota is epically bad.

Sounds good to me. Just as I never took points... are you ok with that? Don't worry... I'll be kind if we win. Persa is questionable, so I'm not sure I think that 8.5 points is real.

Danny was practicing without the boot yesterday, but splitting time with Kain Colter and Trevor Siemian. Looks like big Evan Watkins is officially 4th string. And just looking at Watkins demeanor on the sidelines of the Penn State game, it seems like he's not too worried about moving back up the depth chart.

I actually think he'll be leaving for one of the directional Illinois schools. The only reason he stays at NU is for the education (which is a great reason) but if he is looking to play, he'll leave.

I read that they are predicting 8 inches of snow in Happy Valley today.

it's not just a prediction, it's already started. I'm east of HV about an hour (as the crow flies) and we are expected to get 9 to 15 inches. This will make for some fun football, and I will have an unpleasant sunday shoveling.

I have no idea why this game is on nor why I am watching it but Lehigh has the ugliest uni's I have seen in some time. They look like Mt. Carmel.
