Hoping to see some defensive improvement tonight. That would certainly be a bonus to go with our prolific offense. If not, i guess i will just have to continue to enjoy Chandler Harnish's last season.

Hopefully our defense has settled down after giving up that long TD pass.

17-7 NIU

Geneva is representing on D tonight for NIU. Not sure how all there names are spelled but Santacterina is starting in place of the asshat who ran into the band and Schillar and Boenzi are starting as well I believe.

BGSU 0-for-2 on 4th down conversions.

Dang, that BGSU punter is good!

That is the longest "in air" punt I have ever seen.

That was the best punt I've ever seen, pro or college... He kicked that ball from the back of his end zone to the opposing 20 yard line.

In the air to the 25 as well. It wasn't one that rolled 25 yds at the end.

Disappointing end to the half. The defense was doing well then let's BGSU convert a 4th down and score on the last drive.

NIU offense gets the ball to start the 2nd half.

Yea, these 3 guys played together on a few good Geneva Viking teams a few years ago.

They didn't win it all though did they? Didn't they lose to the cheating East St. Louis team that had more than a few out of district players on their team?

Right. Geneva was blown out in the playoffs by Batavia then Batavia went to state & lost. The next year Geneva was beat in the playoffs by East St. Louis.

Harnish with over 1,000 rushing yards and 2,200 passing. Very impressive!

So who is the best College QB in the State?

Persa?
Sheelhasse?
Harnish?

I think that debate only exists between Harnish and Persa. Shellhause is not on the same level as the other two in passing.

I like Bowling Green's QB. He's only a sophomore but he looks like he will be another in a great line of MAC QBs.

why does anyone give a shit about NIU football? with the rare exception of the occasional michael turner type, if i wanted to watch a bunch of near-future insurance salesmen play football i think i'd sooner gouge my eyes out and take up the hobby of masturbating with sandpaper.

Harnish is done for the game. Put the back up Jordan Lynch (from Mt. Carmel) in. Harnish has missed over a game's worth of playing time due to NIU being ahead big.

Wrong answer, there are many MAC players in the NFL, including 14 of them in last year's Super Bowl. Many of your best players are MAC alums.

and btw fuck these ignant-ass announcers... they're claiming that our can't-miss-guy lefevour is out of football?! HA! HARDLY! he's representing the indianapolis colts practice squad right now, thank you very much.

he's an irreplaceable part of the great combine that is needed to ready the indianapolis colts defense for their next glorious battle on sunday. he's so talented that they don't want to merely have him try to just be the indianapolis colts quarterback, they want to have him showcase his versatility as up to ~29 other quarterbacks in ~29 other systems on any given week. clearly, a man with such exceptional talents isn't going to be wasted in indianapolis... that's curtis painter country thank you very much.

ok so you know what, ovaltine? you win a commemorative plaque pointing out your excellence in supporting a cause that nobody gives a shit about.

i mean seriously, hanging out on a messageboard pumping up NIU like anyone other than ~2-3 other alumni or someone with money on the game really gives a shit about their infinitesimal existence? jesus... go back to your main account and participate in a circlejerky thread... at least you'll have a fighting chance of blowing a load.

i know one can throw up the proverbial mirror and be like "so if you're going to disparage someone for hanging out on a messageboard mostly talking to himself updating the captive audience of none with up to the minute banter about this thrilling NIU victory, aren't you the same level of loser fo hanging out in the same thread as opposed to being out there, say, working on impregnating a bitch so you can have the life-shattering bastard child you've always dreamed of!?!?"

nope. i'm kooler than jesus cuz i'm the shithead sippin his tallboy old milwaukee's best ice trolling your dumb ass. the world needs me, dammit!

NIU has scored over 40 points in eight of its 10 games this season. With any sort of defense we would be 9-1.

You are one miserable person. Must suck to be you.

Btw, how is what i am doing any different than the few people who talk about their team every week?

Jesus Sini... Take it down a notch brother... NiU football is actually fun to watch for the most part... Northern gets a lot of kids f/ the chicago area who don't qualify academically for bigger schools, plus some of the best suburban kids in the state go there. They also have recruiting footholds in wisconsin and indiana. Occasionally bring in cali, fl, and tx players as well... Def a good football program. So yeah, I give a shit, and I know there are plenty of people who'd rather watch niu than any other in state college football team.
