Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez believes Northwestern defenders had some special insight Saturday that helped them figure out the Cornhuskers' plays in the 28-25 Wildcats' victory. "They were looking at our sidelines to see what plays we were running," he said. "Maybe they kind of caught on to what we were doing." Not exactly, NU coach Pat Fitzgerald said. "There were some things we saw in our film study that (Martinez) gave away that we thought we could take advantage of," he said. "When they were confirmed, we took advantage. But we didn't do anything different than we do at any other game. "If we could steal (teams') signals and get lined up, then I think we'd be undefeated, you know? We'd shut everybody out." Martinez didn't mean his charge to come off as an insult, saying Northwestern was the first opponent, he believes, that decoded Nebraska's signals. "It's Northwestern," Martinez said. "Smart school." |

Has nothing to do with Taylor Martinez being a shitty QB, right? |

Here's the thing...he looks like an ok option QB...decent speed, etc...but as soon as he throws a ball, it's just pathetic. He has no zip on the ball, and every release looks like a shot put. |

I talked to a guy close to the program and he says the Cats D plays mind games with teams that get their calls sent in. Basically they repeat whatever Taylor says at the line of scrimmage and then the switch formation... In other words they probably didnt have the signals, but make them think they do. If his story is correct, it's kinda funny. |
