Can't wait to see Harnish and crew give it to Mac's favorite team.

Get this v-tech basketball shit off already and lets get to Kickoff.

I missed damn near 4 minutes of the game and the 1st huskie drive so ESPN could show Isaiah Thomas' team get blown the fuck out. Clean it up ESPN.

I've never heard of anyone on this Ball State team. He is leading a decent drive though that stupid penalty kept it alive.

Danny Kanell didn't like it either...

Harnish just smoked past the running back to make the block.

Is he tall enough to get a shot in the league?

Id say yes, but Im bias... Personally, I think he's better than dan lefevour... Prolly late round pick, but if not def a camp guy... Im glad he got to play last year. Basically stealing the job away f/ the other dude. Can't think of the guys name now.

Also UMN let's not forget if Harnish kills a senior bowl and has a great combine he could move into the mid rounds... This is always a possibility. I think he's the best Huskie QB I've seen.

This is turning out to be more than just a rough start. NIU's special teams still suck it seems.

Well. The huskies have the offense to do it, but I gotta sleep. Maybe ill record the rest. No one say anything!

The best team in the state won another thriller tonight. Harnish is fun as hell to watch.

I love the late season midweek MACstravaganzas. Harnish is such a MAC QB. Nice work setting off the fireworks with 8 seconds left.

MAC games are great. Sure it isn't the Big Ten, but the Big Ten is a joke this year & MAC games have been more exciting than Big Ten games.

Defense be damned!

I'm being completely serious when I say this. I absolutely love MAC football. Alot of parity and alot of offense. This NCAA College Football Fantasy League we got going on this site has really opened my eyes to MAC football. People laughed when I said we did B1G and MAC... now I'm glad we did. I have the second most points in the league and only my defense and one wide receiver are from the B1G.

It was such an ugly game. Two fumbles (one of which was by Harnish at the 5-yd line that got returned by BSU defender for a TD) and 100+ yards in penalties.

If you were to look at the stats (first downs, total yards, etc.) you'd think it was a blow out.

I like the new Ball State coaching staff. They were aggressive with their playcalling by going for it on fourth downs, including one where the Ball State punter faked and had a 60+ yard run to set up another BSU TD.

Ok... Finally got a chance to watch this...

Harnish is a player who is a couple good pro workouts away f/ being a 3rd rounder... There were a couple bad decisions on his part, but the wind out here has been shitty all week... His vision through the hole is stellar, and speaks to an understanding of anticipation well beyond his years... Accurate for the most part, and a plus arm. Reliable accuracy out to 30ish yards... The spread bloats his stats and is the perfect system for him. It seems niu has finally surrounded a good qb w/ a solid receiving corps as well. Good things. I think the Huskies could regain their sleeper stud status they had back in 2003 when I was a junior @ the school...

NIU has had a pretty good track record since 2000 while lacking good QB play. Josh Haldi and Chris Finlen were pretty decent QBs for us but we lacked the type of QB that the MAC is known for (Ben Roethlisberger, Charlie Frye, Bruce Gradkowski, Nate Davis, Omar Jacobs, etc.). Our philosophy during the Novak years was to have a punishing ground game and for the most part we did and still do with many talented running backs right after another (Thomas Hammock, Michael Turner, Garrett Wolfe, and Chad Spann). But now that we have a good QB it has transformed us from a 7-8 win type team to a 10+ win team.

Problem is how much of a dropoff will we have after losing Harnish next season? Jordan Lynch seems to be a better runner than Harnish (and has been mentioned as so by our coaching staff), but Kill and Doeren these past two seasons have rarely let him throw the ball. I just hope he turns out to be a decent passer. I really like the option/spread offense that we run. It has been really hard for our opponents to stop. The last couple seasons our offense has been pretty good. Last season we set the school record for points scored in a season with an average of 38 ppg. This season we are on pace to set that record again with a current average of 41.5 ppg.

Trust me, the offense is in good hands with J.Lynch... The receivers and rbs are stocked. They could dominate the mac for a while.
