Coach K just set the wins mark at 903 with the win over Michigan State and Tom Izzo last night. He's only 64, so will eventually hit 1050-1100 career wins. Is he the greatest men's college bball coach of all-time? |

Look what happened to the winningest college football coach of all time. I don't want any part of this over glorification of a collegiate coach. |

It's kinda hard to rank college coaches because of the way the system is. Izzo is clearly a much better in game coach, and Coach K's teams have underachieved in the tournament while Izzo's teams consistently overachieve. But Coach K's results are so overwhelmingly successful over his tenure that it's hard to say he's not the best of the modern era, when recruiting and program building are taken into account. |

I think it always seems this way because they are always a top ranked team. He has been to 10 final fours and won 4 titles. |

Yeah but that goes into the recruiting and program building point. He's won 30 games 12 different times in a regular season. Izzo seems to make the Final Four every other year with 2-3 guys that would have a chance to start for Duke. |

His recruiting classes are really good though. |
