No way a rematch can be avoided now is there? Short of a LSU loss next week?

Should have to win your conference to play for title.

No beef with LSU if they beat Georgia. Go undefeated, you play for the title.

I thouhgt Gary Danielson brought up a good point yesterday during Arkansas-LSU, LSU should have already clinched half the title, the AP vote for their season so far, just have win the next 2 games to get full title, so if LSU loses the title game could have a split.

On Bama, not only did they not win the conference, they didn't even win the division there in.

I am still holding out hope if Oklahoma State wins, they jump Bama.

Personally, I don't acknowledge a college football champion. I think the system is laughable and refuse to debate it. Just my two cents.

lsu is going to pound georgia...but even if they lost they still deserve a shot at the title..they played the toughest schedule in the country and beat bama @ bama and play in the toughest conference in the country...if boise st played in the sec they would be lucky to be over 500

Is OK State doing enough to warrant some serious consideration for this game? 41-3 so far is pretty damn impressive considering they are playing Oklahoma.

Good enough for me. You can't lose at home and get a rematch with other 1 loss teams out there.

You can always count on a Bob Stoops team to wet the bed in a big game. Ok St. deserves a shot, but don't think they will get it

A team that loses to Iowa State does not "deserve" a shot.

Bama barely lost to LSU.

If they want the real national championship, it will be a rematch of LSU and Bama.

If the want to see LSU murder a team then they will give Okla St a shot.

I think it should be Bama/LSU, but could see the reasons for OK St. Bama did lose at home.

My arguments against a re-match.

1. LSU now has to beat Alabama not once but twice to win the championship.

2. Alabama had their shot against them and they lost.......at home.

3. Yes OK State lost to ISU but that game is not representative of their body of work the rest of this season. It was a pretty earth shattering day for those guys as well. Having 2 coaches in the same athletic dept. tragically die in plane crash earlier in the day is a lot to digest. It doesn't absolve them of losing that game but it puts the loss into perspective. They took care of business with authority the rest of the year.

4. LSU vs OK State is an interesting match up that we have not seen. Let's see Blackmon go up against the great LSU D.

I will say this for Oklahoma State, they got all the help they needed today, beat Oklahoma, have LSU win, and Clemson beat Virginia Tech.

It's up to the voters now, do enough of them put Oklahoma State over Alabama.

ALso if it is Ok State-LSU, would have a Les Miles angle.

Yeah, Alabama is the 2nd best team, but in my mind they already had their chance, besides the game was 6-3 shitfest anyway. No one should be forced to watch that again. Blah blah blah "you just don't appreciate good defense..." I like there to at least be a threat of a competent offense and those QB's don't do it for me. That being said, since they'll have a month off (Bama more) who even knows.

If LSU and Bama was a shitfest, what will you call LSU destroying Okla St?

A problem with the re-match possibility, is some people have said they will vote for LSU no matter what happens, so Bama could beat LSU and still have a split national champion.

LSU-Oklahoma State should be the National Championship game. Winning your conference should be a pre-requisite for playing for a championship.

Is it just the "SEC is so great" thought that has Alabama "obviously" ahead of Oklahoma State?

I'm not a numbers expert, but even before beating Oklahoma yeasterday, Oklahoma state was 6-1 against the top 30 (sagarin ranking) while Alabama was 2-1. Hell, Boise state was 2-1. Plus, with the Oklahoma win yesterday, Oklahoma State would now be 7-1 and have the same number of wins against top 10 teams.

College Football 2011 through games of November 26 Saturday the BCS uses the ELO_CHESS from here
HOME ADVANTAGE= 2.37 RATING W L SCHEDL(RANK) VS top 10 | VS top 30
1 LSU A = 101.91 12 0 74.91( 20) 3 0 | 3 0
2 Alabama A = 99.08 11 1 74.35( 23) 1 1 | 2 1
3 Oklahoma State A = 95.65 10 1 79.26 (8) 0 0 | 6 1
4 Oklahoma A = 94.13 9 2 78.98( 10) 0 0 | 7 1
5 Oregon A = 91.55 10 2 73.94( 25) 1 2 | 2 2
6 Stanford A = 91.38 11 1 72.62( 35) 1 1 | 3 1
7 Arkansas A = 89.52 10 2 73.80( 28) 0 2 | 2 2
8 Boise State A = 88.72 10 1 70.56( 51) 0 0 | 2 1
9 Southern California A = 87.45 10 2 74.94( 19) 1 1 | 3 1
10 Houston A = 87.45 12 0 62.64( 111) 0 0 | 1 0

So a team getting their ass kicked is more entertaining to you than a 3 point game?

You have an odd sense of entertainment.

Oklahoma St had their shot but that ended when they lost to Iowa St.

It looks like it doesn't matter who you pit against LSU anyway. They will likely crush whichever team they face.

ahem. 9-6 shitfest, thank you.

it will at least be a contested game throughout. i don't like a rematch as far as i don't think alabama gets to go...i do hope now that LSU pantses them because if that motherfucker saban beats LSU in a situation where his team really didn't deserve to be there that would...really piss me off.

it should still be a good game to watch. i like defensive, gritty games. and in college that's very rare.

Last night, ESPN said 44 voters would have to change their mind to put Ok State ahead of Bama.

Brad Edwards has said this expect to be the closest between 2 and 3 since the current formula for the BCS started.

Not only did Alabama not win it's conference, they didn't even win the division they were in.

I like defense too, but as I said I like there to at least be a threat of offense. It seems the first time they played there were 21 great players on the field for each team but 2 QBs that totally killed the game.

From what I can tell, Alabama and LSU are the two best teams in the country. That first game was awesome. I'd rather see a rematch. I don't think ok state would be a threat to LSU.
