I thought they were going to be in the GoPapi.com Bowl at Mario Van Peebles Stadium.

That is over a month away? I would decline the invite if I were NIU and go to a bowl that doesn't suck. They do get 5 weeks of practice though which is more than training camp.

Here are the rest of the MAC bowl matchups. So we probably got the best, except for maybe Toledo.

Military Bowl: Toledo vs. Air Force
New Mexico Bowl: Temple vs. Wyoming
Famous Idaho Potato Bowl: Ohio vs Utah St
Little Caesar's Bowl: WMU vs. Purdue

I'd say it could be worse. You could be Southern Miss who wins CUSA and beats Houston and gets the Hawaii Bowl against the Nevada (WAC #3).

Is it unpatriotic to hope Toledo crushes the Air Force Academy? I work with an AFA graduate and he is really annoying in regards to how the service academies are the best places to go to school and everything else is crap (for example, his son will *only* be allowed to go to the AFA and no other university)-even though he is an avowed pacifist (what?).

Toledo's offense is just as good as NIU's so it is possible. Toledo has been rolling lately too.

The trip to Hawaii for most of those kids will be awesome though. A trip they may otherwise never go on for the rest of their life. I haven't looked where the Danica Patrick bowl is at but I am sure it is somewhere in the mid south.

It's great for the kids, but not for the school (lose a ton of money) or the fans (cost too much for airfare). Usually the CUSA Champ plays the last-pick SEC team.

GoDaddy Bowl is in Mobile, Alabama.

Since I follow multiple teams as they will probably never play each other I've got....

SDSU vs the Rajin Cajuns

NIU

The U will be taking the bowl season off in honor of Devin, Nevin and friends.

I love Bowl season. The weirder the match up the better. I don't really care about the BCS games unless there is a good story line or fun matchup.

You should be thankful for that much.

Really, you and Houston Homer should make a roadtrip out of it. Just don't tell Ralph.
