I think Main South's 2013 QB prospect is gonna pick NU over ND. Would be a great get for Northwestern if it is true. Decision likely to come soon. Looks like NU is in the driver's seat for 5 star recruit/transfer Kyle Prater. That assumes that admissions is all squared away. Apparently despite a low ACT, his high grades at Proviso and good first two years at USC will help. Glad to see the kid come. With 4 star Greg Kuhar and Malin Jones, this was a pretty decent recruiting class for Northwestern. Would have been nice to get 4 star Abner Logan and Faith Ekatite through admissions, but can't win them all I suppose. We really could have used them on defense. |

I'm sure no matter what the recruiting class, Fitzgerald will still work his magic. |

Why would any admissions department consider ACT/SAT for a transfer. Those tests are presumably used as a predictor of academic ability at the next level while a transfer student has already established the ability to suceed...especially at USC. |

you're probably right. SAT/ACT should probably be trumped by grades at USC. |

ND currently has 4 Quarterbacks. Alviti would be really stupid to go there. |

He'll end up doing that. Rees will get benched in the 2nd Qtr. of the Michigan game, replaced by Hendrix...who will lose 2 games. He'll skip over Golston, ruining him in the process. Eventually he'll give the reigns over to Kiel, too early of course. By week 8, all of his QBs will hate him. |

ACT/SAT isn't important and doesn't mean anything in a transfer...unless it's important, then it means everything. |

Yep, he's technically a superback (TE hybrid) I suppose. So you have Kain Colter from Colorado, Trevor Siemien from Florida, Zach Oliver from Lousiana, and Evan Watkins ... local kid. Kain is a dual threat. Trevor is more of a pure passer and could be in the Basanez mold. Zach was much heralded and I think will be the best of them all. He looks to me a lot like Alviti... I suppose that's where the big QB competition will be two years from now. |

Matt Alviti apparently isn't in any rush to commit. Now he's saying he might not commit until the summer. To me, I don't get it. Michigan State's offense doesn't fit him. He's behind Gunner at ND. He looks like Persa 2.0. Seems like a perfect fit. |

F- me... Prater looks like a beast. Bigger than some of our lineman. http://www.trbimg.com/img-4f70e373/turbine/chi-prater-could-become-nus-megatron-20120326-001/600 |
