If NIU had actually gone for it on 4th and 4 from their own 37 with 8:30 left in the 1st, I would have written this conference off as a joke. That's how close they were to losing me. Although it's still pretty bad that Toledo had to play it like they'd really do it. |

They might put somebody deep to field it like they knew it would be a punt and it would be insane to actually go for it. |

But the guy that kicked it is the 3rd leading rusher in the nation. And he kicked it 65 yards. Where exactly would you put that defensive back? The Toledo play calling is keeping NIU in this game so far. Terrible pass on a terrible play call. |

Ok, we've reached silly time. The announcer was trying to describe barbed wire - and he couldn't think of what "the little things are called on the barbed wire fencing". edit: and he immediately followed up with "the high school team's nickname is 'the Barbs'".
