One thing to remember is the story about Barry promising the HC job to Chryst, then ultimately giving it to BB. Depends if that story is real or not. I had always heard it was a little blown out of proportion, but there may still be ill will. Tough to know for sure.

No I understood your explanation. It contradicted your original post. If a deal was done with Doeren then there would have been no waiting involved.

They probably knew they weren't getting Doeren so they went with Jones. They missed out on both. Now they'll get Beckman 2.0 like RFDC said.
