Aug 20, 2001 - Northwestern took #16 in the AP Preseason Poll. The Cats stayed at #16 for the next four weeks before climbing to #14. But, alas, they couldn't live up to the hype. They lost their last 6 games and ended the season unranked.

Kinda feeling like the hype for a Darkhorse Northwestern in 2013 feels eerily similar to 2001.
