Just got Quentin Snider away from Louisville and UCLA. Got Leron Black a couple weeks ago. He's getting highly ranked recruits from outside of Illinois. Hopefully, the recruits work out and Illinois will be back competing for Big Ten titles. |

What's the Big Ten outlook? Some of the usual suspects, like Michigan St., Michigan, and Indiana? |

Iowa returns most of their team that made the NIT Finals. They lost their 6th man. |

If he lands Okafor or Alexander, I will be ready to put him in the HOF. |

Wait for 2016 -- that's the one with DePaul, Northwestern, Illinois, and Notre Dame. |

Good Lord. On Monday, Groce went early in the morning to wave to Snider as he went into high school, flew up to Chicago to do something with Alexander, and then flew back to Louisville to have an in-home visit with Snider. What kind of fucked up job is this? ![]() |

Snider changed his mind and signed with Louisville. Told Illinois this morning. Louisville had a top PG decommit a few months ago and went after Snider again. It's Snider's hometown and where he always wanted to go so he changed his mind and signed with them. |

Well, maybe something will fall through and we can have someone land in our lap. I think it is shitty to have him do that today if the decommital happened months ago. Now we have lost all that time to get another guy. What an asshole. I have shaky feelings about Alexander and Kansas and I am sure this isn't helping things at all. ![]() |

What the fuck! The whole thing is bullshit. "Decommit" isn't even a fucking word. It defies the very definition of the actual word "commit". If you're a four star guy there is no point in signing a Letter of Intent at all. Why the fuck not just wait. Every school will have a spot for you. Even if they have to kick some poor douchebag off scholarship. |

The kid that decommitted from Louisville, Lyle, was rumored to want to play together with Alexander so maybe Illinois will get both. Or not. They'll both go to Kansas. |

Thought Groce was about to have Illinois turning the corner. Guess not. I would guess that Alexander told Snider he was going to Kansas so Snider bailed immediately. Bummer. |

The reality is until a kid signs the LOI, coaches can and will continue to contact. Some coaches are more gentlemanly and will ask the recruit once they verbal if they want to continue to talk and if they say no, will back off. But for the most part, coaches will continue to apply pressure to the kids to commit to their school. There are more and more coaches pushing for earlier signing periods to lock it down a bit. I know in football there are a number of coaches asking for that. |
