Ok... I'm fully prepared to see the Buckeyes bust through that 5.5 point line. Nonetheless, I'm getting pretty excited about the national attention.

*ESPN & FOXSports1 in town to do feature on Cats at practice
*Mike & Mike Friday morning live from NU
*WMVP-ESPN 1000 Friday Show live from NU
*GameDay live Saturday
*Game on ABC primetime TV

I kinda feel like a Notre Dame fan before getting ass raped on national TV.

OSU is going to be a 10* play for me if it stays at 5.5

Pretty funny...

http://www.sippinonpurple.com/northwestern-wildcats-football/2013/10/1/4790302/northwestern-vs-ohio-state-wildcats-football

My favorite line was: "Football really was invented in 1995. You can tell me that Northwestern played games with national championship implications in the 30's and 60's, and I'll look at you with a bewildered stare and explain how missionaries from New Zealand brought a rugby ball to New Mexico in 1987, teaching the locals to play something they called "fortball," which eventually spread nationwide over the next eight years before finally being played at a national level when I was five years old."

I'll be too tuckered out from attending this event.

Keyboard Conversations: Popular Piano Classics
Oct 4th Pick-Staiger Concert Hall - 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM

Jeffery Siegel, piano

Cherished treasures of the piano repertoire. Beloved works by Mozart, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Liszt, Gershwin, and others.

Maybe I'll be dead wrong on this but I recall back to 2006 when Gameday blew into Iowa City with a great matchup of the #13 rated Iowa Hawkeyes vs the #1 Ohio State Buckeyes.

OSU dominated the game from start to finish and won handily.

This feels very similar in the sense that NU struggled in their preseason games. Iowa did the same having to go 2 OT to beat a bad Syracuse team.

HV, I completely agree. I'm just going on the off chance we pull the upset. Hope springs eternal.

Agreed. I'm going because if Northwestern wins, it will be one of the greatest victories in our school's history.

I was at the last game NU beat OSU on a Saturday night in Evanston and it was a blast.

That was 2004 and Iowa won the Big 10. That was a LONG time ago. It was so long ago that I remember being in the stands in Kinnick thinking how bad OSU was.

ESPN Gameday sign ideas (not mine... just thought they were funny)

"If you can read this, you're not a Buckeye"

"QUIET DOWN I'M TRYING TO STUDY"

"You can't spell C_CK_ _CKER without OSU"

and a my fav... "I hope you like the taste of Siemian"

I just rode my bike through campus and shit is buzzing already. A lot of goofs my age walking around in purple jerseys. They're building the Gameday center out on the landfill behind the lacrosse field. If I had a buck for every time I explained that the stadium isn't on campus to a guy from Michigan or Indiana...

Listend to Mike & Mike this morning... sounded like quite a turnout for the show. Pretty cool.

NU will come out on top, as they usually do, in the ratio of trash talking to on field performance.

I was glad to see that OSU didn't get the TD on the opening drive.

Those matte helmets with the cat are badass.

The first time Ohio State has trailed all year!

It looks like neither one can really stop the other. This could turn into something like that Michigan game in '99 or '00 really easily.
