I thought he had a terrible day coaching, especially at the end of the game. I don't recall the last time i saw a 4 point play tie a game at the end of regulation.... i figured out why, because 99% of coaches would remind their team with only 10 seconds remaining to challenge shots but in a controlled manner... they'd say it 3 times in the huddle before the play too also, in the overtime, VCU's offense was just idiotic. SF austin was in a 2-3 zone and all 5 VCU players just stood in place as they passed the ball around the perimeter 30 feet from the basket.... their center stood on the low block and didnt move, then their small forward stood in the corner of the court the entire possession while the 3 other players just passed the ball around the perimeter... possession after possession in the overtime the same damn thing. the high school basketball player in me was screaming at the tv "move, screen the zone, cut, flash to the high post, do something... Smart really had an off day today. |

While it is in the VCU player for even leaving his feet to try and block the shot, the FLOP drives me nuts! NCAA needs a flop rule! cancels the shot and is technical, with the other team getting the ball. did the VCU player touch him? Maybe...not enough to send him flying into the bench, Every kid flops these days. Its terrible. |
