UNLV: Bishop Gorman HIGH SCHOOL head coach Tony Sanchez is in the process of finalizing a deal to become head coach at UNLV per Thayer Evans of SI. Sanchez has served as head coach at Bishop Gorman since 2009 and was head coach at California High School for five seasons prior to that. 12 years ago he was coaching the defensive backs at Onate High in New Mexico. Think about where you want to be in 12 years. #Motivation Mark Anderson who covers UNLV locally (LVR-J) has confirmed the hire.

That's exactly the type of outside-the-box thinking Emery needs in the Bears organization.

Good for him. He's a better coach than Trestman.

He hired Gerry Faust as his top assistant.

UNLV is really bad at football, which I find surprising. Maybe they think this is a pipeline to California talent. Talent alone makes them relevant in their conference.
