Love him or hate the guy, he ran a great motion offense that won games.

No doubt.

The man was a great coach, a great teacher of the game.

I only wish my son could have ever played for a guy like him, you knew no matter what they were going to graduate and seemed like his players were successful no matter what they went into. Neil Reed, fuck him.

Isiah Thomas has destroyed two teams and bankrupted a league. I guess we all judge success differently.

Still a huge draw in the state of Indiana for speaking events.

Probably the best college coach ever. His act wouldn't work in the new world of college basketball though.

I would say no matter what Thomas is still a pretty successful guy.

I would think an old school guy like Knight would be right up your alley JORR

But that's why he's a douchebag. He could run his offense without acting like he's the head guard in a gulag and still be a great coach.

Ray Meyer might have been the meanest son of a bitch to ever blow a whistle, but he learned to dial it back for the modern player and put together a good final run.

I always liked Knight. He's a dick though.

The modern player, when was the last time Ray Meyer coached, hell half of the board wasn't even alive.

I played for a guy quite a bit like him. Best coach I ever had and 10 years ago I sought him out and told him thank you for all the lessons that he taught me not only
on the court but in life. One of the better coaches in Lake County history.

I did as well. Turns out he was inappropriate with high school kids. He was never inappropriate with me so he's still a good coach in my book.
