There has been some measure of satisfaction in this situation ever since he was suspended from the Kansas squad. That probably makes me a
bad person but so be it.

Don't think talent is the issue, just his heart.

with talent, not to get picked in the second round, you'd have to have executed your family and eaten them.

I never understood why people made such a big deal out of the guy. I wasn't impressed with him coming out of hs, he just was bigger and stronger than anybody.

this is why I love the one and done. I wish it were two and done. So many of these players are not very good, and NBA teams are forced to pick based on potential. At least with one year of school things get exposed. He did have a knee injury too but he's 6'7".

I have never seen the full width image before. I didn't know De Paul was on that table...makes me hate him even more.

I hope that pittance his mom took will help to pay for his foreign language lessons

He played well against Okafor.

He wouldn't be leaving after one if he wasn't being shown the door.

That's what gets me. Coming out of HS everybody was listing him at 6'9". I'm pretty sure I saw a couple 6'10"s like he was the next Dwight Howard. But, he's probably shorter than Jimmy Butler.

He was bigger and stronger than just about everyone in the public league. He aggressively tried to dunk everything. He was kind of Kenneth Faried like. I know the people that handled his situation and they had him pegged as a one and done. Why wouldn't they? He was #2 out of high school. He should have started at Kansas also. The guys in front of him are not pros.

There were some who thought he was better than Okafor. Cliff Alexander doesn't have a game and he turned out not to be as athletic as first thought. I think he should have still been drafted though. Maybe late second round.

I disagree. The mom goes and gets the loan in the first place because he's leaving after one.

They all thought he was can't miss. It wasn't totally out of line either. He was top five on every mock draft board at this time last yr. It didn't pan out for him. They figured that he would be gone by the time the NCAA caught up with them.

I can remember watching him play in high school. His father rolled in with an entourage of about 10 guys. It was kind of odd for a high school game. They all wanted a piece of the kid. By all accounts he is a good kid. His dad took over after being released from the penitentiary and immediately began making demands.

That may not have been completely out of line because his dad knows basketball. His father was a hell of a player back in the day. His thirstiness turned a number of people off and everything began to go downhill from there. I feel bad for the kid because like a number of people from impoverished background s he was viewed as the family's meal ticket. They had him ticketed to be a millionaire by this point.

I am sure his Otis Wilson looking dad didn't have the same reaction as the gif when the second round ended.

I don't think playing in Chicago would help his development.

This time last year he was a top five draft pick on just about every mock draft board that I viewed. There were a number of guys that I know whose opinion that I respect that believe he was better than Okafor. I never believed that, but there were some who bought into it.
