To celebrate, Nicklaus is banging a whole gaggle of Perkins waitresses in Tiger's honor right now.

I read it to include wedges. Anyway that was the gist of the article.

During his interviews after the round he claimed that he was using wedges with a similar grind to those when
he played in the late 90's early 2000's. Pretty weak excuse as he's had months to practice. I understand he
is making some major changes to his full swing and that may take some time. Considering he only finished +2
when he was at +5, it was a positive comeback for him.

Yeah. Wedges were the first clubs he was practicing with before this season. He's probably hit 10,000+ wedge shots in practice and the old grinds are due to him changing his swing back plane almost back to where it used to be. Hawg's right, it's all in his head at this point.

This is kinda the first big full field event. Going to be interesting to see how some of the Euros
do and Dustin Johnson is back this week as well. Will Tiger even make the cut? Should be a
very good tournament on a challenging course. -9 won it last year.

Just checked my lineup and noticed Graham DeLaet is not in the field this week. Not sure why he
had to pull out. I had him starting so was a lucky catch.

Apparently he has the flu bug. The only other good reason to pull out.

Pebble Beach this week is always fun to watch on TV just because it is such an iconic course. I'd love
to play but I would be hard pressed to pay out of pocket for the experience. It is never very warm
there and you are just beating yourself up. Current rates show it to be $495 for greens fees for Pebble
and $385 for Spyglass. Has anyone here played or walked it? My parents were out there for the 1992
US Open. I'd rather pay to play 3-4 rounds at a really nice course I think. I just checked and see
that even the top courses in Wisconsin are getting crazy. $385 for Whistling Straits, $275 for Blackwolf,
and $245 for Erin Hills. I am thankful I have all of those knocked off my bucket list and didn't have to
pay for them but even if I wanted another shot at them down the road I would really have to seriously
think about it.

I go there every other year. Actually, I go to a conference up the road but always visit. Have a drink over the green take in the scenery etc. It is beautiful. Besides the money there is like a 3 year wait or some shit. My BIL played it for a corporate deal and he said just amaziing. Caddies are awesome and it is hard.

Played it back in 1998 with my dad, a day I will never forget.

John Daly -4 at the turn. Playing Pebble. Would be nice to see him be able to string a few rounds together.

Pretty fun tournament although I really was hoping that Watney could have kept his charge going but the wheels came off until the very end.
I'm glad to see him and Sneeeedeker back and playing well. Dustin Johnson starting to get his game back as well.

Is there a bigger choker on tour than Jim Furyk?

I played it in 82 with my dad. I remember him telling me how expensive it was cause it was like $100.

Great story from there. My dad, who's a terrible golfer, somehow manages to fire his 3rd shot on 18 dead left into the water. It goes about 100 yards into the ocean, hits a rock and ricochets back in play and lands on the green.

I think I shot a 150. It was my first or second year playing golf. Talk about a waste of a bucket list round on a kid.

I don't remember too much about the Northern Trust Open. I know they play it on a "classic" track but other than #18 I can't
think of any other signature holes on the course. A lot of big names so I'll definitely be tuning in. Looking forward to the Florida
swing as that is my indicator that The Masters is only about 5 or 6 weeks out.

#10 is one of the best short par 4's in the world.
