tough to cut that guy loose, depending on the size of your league. his numbers arent horrible, but he cant get any wins. Adam Lind is killing me this year, but i know as soon as i bench that motherfucker he will start mashing. |

Last year I was saddled with Josh Hamilton. This year it's Chone Figgins. He's killing me, but he's my guy. I've had him for about 4 straight years. |

You could trade something for Grienke probably. I had Grienke offered to me for Lackey, but that trade ended up getting pulled because somebody else offered up Dotel and the guy needed saves bad. |

This is the time of the year to trade for guys like that. You will find a lot of people willing to make these deals. Of course you will also find some that want preseason value for the same guys. |

He probably won't play the entire season either because they don't want him to pile up too many innings. Look at how many innings his pitched in the minors. I believe they won't allow him to pitch more than 160 innings total this season. There is no reason to Kerry Wood him. You should make the deal unless you are in a keeper league. |

Yes they are limiting to him 160 and that is counting what he already threw in the minors. |

Better to cut early than late - you're wasting a roster spot with someone like Aramis Ramirez. Greinke on the other hand falls into "hang with 'em" category - he's not hurting you (but he's not helping as much as you'd hoped) and barring injury, that line is his baseline. I figure he can only go up from here. I guess overall June is less about selling than buying - you want to acquire future performance rather than miss out on it. Guys like Ryan Braun, Ian Kinsler, Dustin Pedroia, and Jayson Werth are all top tier talent severely under-performing. Conversely, there are plenty of first-half All Stars who can't be counted upon to maintain their level of production over the course of the season (I'm looking at you, Troy Glaus and Scott Rolen!) that might be tantalizing trade chits to other managers in your league. A few cliches that bear repeating: Buy low, sell high, and don't be afraid to kill your darlings. I love having Kevin Youkilis on my team but I'm not going to trust him to be the #1 player in my league for the next three months. |

His value won't be higher then it is right now. This is the time to deal him IMO. |

Quentin's the perfect buy low guy right now. After his power surge last weekend I was surprised to find that he was a FA in my league so I snapped him up. I also drafted Strasburg this year and had tried to trade him for quality bats throughout the year with no luck. I'm fine with using him for K's until he's done in early Sept or so. |
