I have been doing alot of research on FF this year and a few of the things that have made me look back and wonder what the writers of these fantasy football publications are thinking. A few of them are:

Adrian Peterson being ranked higher on most boards ahead of MJD and Ray Rice. Both had more points then Peterson last year and both had ALOT less fumbles. Plus with the two WR that Min has Favre will continue to look to throw the ball. I think Chester Taylor being gone hurts AP more than it helps. I think with his style of play he will be banged up early and often. I wouldnt touch him until at least 4 if not 5th.

Yahoo.com has it right in regard to WR but I have read a few magazines so far that have Fitzgerald ranked 2 behind Andre Johnson. Have they seen Matt Leinart throw. Fitz is also going to take on double coverage now that Boldin is gone. Yahoo actually has him ranked about right behind Andre Johnson, Moss,Wayne, and Calvin Johnson(that Im not so sure of). Calvin Johnson seemed to have the 3 catches for 90 yards and TD down pat last year. Not sure if that is top 5 WR. Might move Miles Austin ahead of him to the 5 spot.

If you draft Michael Turner with the 5th spot which I have seen you need to just stop playing FF all around. I wouldnt take Turner any sooner than my late 2nd round pick. I would take Gore, AJ,Mendenhall, D Williams, Moss, Steven Jackson, Reggie Wayne, and Aaron Rodgers ahead of him. Turner was a one year wonder.

I love Ray Rice this year. He reminds me of a young Brian Westbrook. When Westbrook was healthy that is. Ray Rice seemed to have alot of love from Flaco last year, and I think adding Boldin only helps draw out the defenses he will be facing. I think he finishes the year (if healthy) a top 2 RB.

Shonn Greene might be a bit too ouchy for me this year. I like the Jets alot this year, but it all depends on Sanchez. Im hoping he doesn't buy all his hype and success that he had in the playoffs. They are a preseason favorite for alot of people, Im not sure if his shoulders are strong enough for the pressure though. (sorry that was not really FF talk there, more of my love for the Jets).

Anyone else have any thoughts, sleepers, etc?

Good points on AP.

I really like Joe Flacco as a sleeper this year. I'm sure Manning, Brady, Brees, Rivers, Favre, Rodgers and possibly Schaub and Romo will be taken above him this year so I'll just sit back and let him fall to me like Romo did last year.

At TE I like Jermichael Finley as a some-what sleeper. I waited on Owen Daniels last year and hit the jackpot for half the season last year. Staying away from Daniels this year coming off a torn ACL. Hopefully some idiot thinks he has it figured out and scoops him up quick. Gonzalez, Witten, Gates, Clark, Davis will go before Finley. Another one I like a lot if Favre plays is Shiancoe. Favre likes his tight ends and he catches a bunch of TDs.

RB I agree Rice is my top prospect this year. Hopefully I can get in the top 5 picks this year and get him. I wouldn't pass up Turner if he is availbale in the first round though. He had substantial numbers before he got hurt last year and i expect him to rebound. Overrated is Mendenhall, beanie Wells and Knowshown Moreno. Underrated my picks are Ryan Grant and watch out for Ryan Matthews.

I am staying the farthest away I can from Fitzgerald this year. Leinart and the loss of Boldin diminshes his production. I expect Andre Johnson to be the first one off the board and flying under the radar, sort of, I like Boldin a lot. I say under the radar becaause of how many WRs most sites have ranked above him. Overrated once again I see Roddy White and Marques Colston. Their QBs spread it around too much. Underrated I am only seeing Dwayne Bowe and possibly Percy Harvin
