For years, we've hosted our league's FF drafts at our sole remaining single buddy's place ... since last year however, he knocked up his girlfriend who is now living with him before they get married. Meaning .... we have no place to host our draft out of the prying eyes of our spouses. Historically, we've had some "entertainment" at this event ... last year's involved a couple of young ladies and a Craftsman power drill. Anyway, I digress .... Has anyone had their league drafts at a local bar with a private room? How was the experience - is there one you could recommend? We'd prefer one with wifi as there is always a douchebag or two who didn't get his permission slip signed and wants to draft online. Western Burbs would also be desireable. I understand having entertainers will probably not be an option under this type of scenario. |

I actually heard an ad on the radio yesterday that said Tilted Kilt has special offers for those that are doing fantasy fooball drafts online. They have one in Woodridge as that is probably farthest west. I dont think they would have private rooms, but the girls are usually the hottest out of the usual sports bars. |

Reasonably sure it's one in the city, but I know they have Wi-Fi, big projection screen etc. I can give him a call about prices and other features if you'd like |

Tilted Kilt in Woodridge could work and there is a Hooter's in Downers that would work. Hmmm. Also, Buffalo Wild Wings (there's a new one on Rt 83 and Plainfield Road) seems to be advertising packages. |

Their "packages" have slipped a little. They used to give you $100 in free food on the day of the draft, but last year we got 10 - $10 gift cards certs for later use instead. Still not a bad deal, just not as good as it used to be. |

So they were also contractors you put to work??? Our favorite place is Papa Passero's in Westmont. They have a few rooms to choose from and the food is also good. We've held our draft there many times. |

We do a local hole in the wall type place on a weekday evening. Its usually fairly quiet and pretty empty. If its to be done on a weekend (whcih 2 years ago we had to do), we started at like 3pm and that worked out fine as well. |

Had it last year at Fox & Hound in Fox Valley area. They required 10 people, but then gave us 3 free pizzas (about as thin as they could make it) 3 baskets of wings, chips and salsa, and a couple of other things. Also set us up with a draftboard and stickers. Cost nothing. We start the draft at about 6pm on Friday and it usually takes about 3 hours, so just at the time it is ending the place starts filling up. Probably will do it there again if they have that same deal. |

Forgot to mention they may ask for a credit card number to hold the room, and they do expect you to have food and drink served. If you're interested, I would call soon to book something just to make sure you get the date you need. Never too early. Here's their number: (630) 963-7660 |

The food and drink aren't an issue, believe me. |
